Friday

I treated the class to Tootsie Pops for singing at the nursing home yesterday.

Do you recognize the shoes above?  All the kids worked on making symmetrical designs with pattern blocks at a math station today.  Cool!

Devotion:   The 8th Grade class shared the Story of Redemption for chapel today.  Every student recited scripture.  They will do this for their examination service, just before being confirmed on April 24th.

Reading:  More spelling and writing practice with the /er/ sound spelled or, ar, or ear.  We also listened to and read a non-fiction book about America's National Parks.  The pictures were fabulous.

Math:  Station work today, no homework.  1) ipad  2) symmetry with pattern blocks, 3) Counting coins with me and 4) Addends to Ten, and Math War with Mrs.  Monroe.

We ended the day with play practice, our first one.  It was fun to listen to the 4th grade parts.  Now we know the story, not just  the songs.

A young boy and his mom visited our class this morning.  Ryder may be in first grade here at Faith next year.
