I can't believe February is drawing to a close. We are working hard in first grade as the third quarter also draws to and end.
Bible: We reviewed Ruth and Boaz. He blessed them with food, a son and a Savior. We are grateful for our food and of course our Savior. We also talked about the importance of choosing a husband or wife (someday) who also loves and trusts in God above all things. The kids liked doing the crossword puzzle.
Superkids: We reviewed our words. Everyone enjoyed using dotters to practice our spelling words.
English: We have begun learning about prepositions. We are getting good at naming synonyms and antonyms. We also did some writing. Everyone chose a special day or vacation and wrote 4 supporting details about the day or vacation.
Math: We did lesson 93. We also counted by 100s.
Social Studies. I shared another quilt and we read The Patchwork Quilt. Little Tanya helped her grandmother create a masterpiece and family treasure.
The Weekly Note was sent home today. It has news about a baby shower for Mrs. G next Friday in our class. Please read the Faith Update, too!
Prayers for Bryce, Cecilia and Kristina. They were absent today.
