Wonderful Wednesday

Christ Light:  John the Baptist.  Read 4B  Ask what SOS means.  That was John's job.  Show our sin and Show our Savior!  MT  John 1:29 Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. 

Reading:  We started our new First Grade Superkids lessons today.  Our first sounds and spelling pattern is sh, ch, and tch. 

Math: Lesson 15B.  Today we learned about and made up "some, some more" and "some, some went away" story problem.  Test tomorrow on lessons 1-10.

Science:  Animal groups.  We remembered and learned more about the six animal groups.  There are some cool videos and Smartboard lessons with our new Science Fusion book.

Gym:  Large motor movement outside.  We loved "musical hoops" and going through hoops.  Music: I heard that it was about the guitar.  Mrs. H even brought one in.

We took our two MAPS tests this week, too.  We did reading yesterday and math today. We are done.  I will share results next week.

Everyone is enjoying playing the Ladybug Game in math stations.  Next game- Qwirkle!

Silly Shades!  These were our art project as we remembered special events from summer.   Now, they hang in the hall. 

I shared a new snack, Ants on a Log, when we studied Cass making new snacks for the Superkids. 

Everyone loved having a turn using this tool on Tuesday.   Most took a turn at recess.  We had a brief lesson on helpful "tools" in science.
