Happy Dr. Seuss Day.
We celebrated in a few different ways in first grade. 1) We made Thing 1-25 hats. I think they are adorable. I also wore a Cat Hat. 2) I made real GREEN EGGS at lunch and offered everyone a spoonful. About half were takers. The rest said "I do not like green eggs." 3) Everyone enjoyed the Dr. Seuss Book station. There was a lot of reading going on in the library with our 4 Big Sisters from 6-8th grade.
Bible: We learned about Eli and His Wicked Sons. Eph 6:1 is the memory treasure. It is on the homework chart.
Superkids: We read Play Ball in the text book. Have your child read it tonight.
Math: Lesson 96 today. We reviewed congruent shapes and practiced our Make 10 facts some more.
Science: Our word today was "classify" The kids cut out 16 different pictures and "classified" in a way they chose. It was fun to share the different ideas.
We ended the day with 3 stations 1) ipads for Reading A-Z 2) Dr. Seuss books and 3) Reading Superkids.
Have a blessed evening.
