Tuesday

Good afternoon!  Did you hear it was Bubble Gum Day in class?  We chewed away and let our bubble gum inspire our writing.  "One day my teacher gave me a piece of bubble gum..."

Bible:  We reviewed David and Goliath and discussed how God has defeated our greatest enemy, Satan.   The kids recited the MT.

Superkids:  The story "Fire" was read by most last night.   Thanks for signing the homework chart.  Tonight library books were sent home. We reviewed the story in class and practiced our spelling words, too.

Math: Lesson  104  Ask about measuring into the room (from the door to the end of the counter).   First we measured with  Aidan's feet (29 feet), then Mr. Markgraf's.    The same distance was 19 of his feet.  His foot (with shoe) was very close to a "standard" foot.

Science:  Temperature.    The kids were excited to have thermometers and move them between cups of hot water and icy cold water.  How fun to watch the "mercury" go up in the hot water (to 100 degrees) and down near 40 degrees in the cold water. Ask if your child remembers "At what temperature does water freeze?"
