THEME FOR 2020-2021 "God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26

WELCOME TO OUR FIRST GRADE BLOG SPOT!

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Hello first grade students and parents!  It is sounding like we can expect some pretty cold weather again this week.  Please send your child's outside snow pants, etc., however if it is too chilly we will play in the gym or our classroom.
This week I will be handing out Accelerated Reader books for the children in our classroom.  The book will come home in the Book Buddy bag.  Have your child read the book and return it to school where he/she will take an online content quiz.  If your child passes 8 of these quizzes this quarter, he will earn a prize from the Timber Rattlers. So...keep him reading!
Did you return the form to let us know when your child will be singing this weekend?  What a wonderful opportunity we have to share our love for God and His Word!  Besides singing for the service, each child will be designing handouts for the service showing why he loves to hear about Jesus.  Every family that attends a service will receive one of these handouts.  I am excited to see the children's ideas.  I pray that we see you there.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK FILLED WITH GOD'S BLESSINGS!
