WELCOME TO OUR FIRST GRADE BLOG SPOT!

Sunday, November 17, 2013

Last week we finished our Set 1 A and B Christ Light books.  The children may keep those books at home now.  We will be getting our Set 2 books this week.
On Tuesday we will be using our dimes for math class.  If you have not sent the 10 dimes and 5 nickels, please do so.  Thank you.
During the week of December 2 - 5 we will be having a class spelling bee.  The words that will be used in the contest are being sent home.  If you would like to help your child achieve his best success help him to look over those words for the spelling bee.  The winner of our classroom contest, along with those of the other classrooms, will receive a special certificate on the day of the upper grade school spelling contest.
Our class trip is this Wednesday.  You do not have to send a lunch on that day.  We will be having lunch at McDonald's.  Our bus will leave school around 10:00.  After having lunch we will attend the 12:30 performance of the play and return back to school by closing time.  Any parents who wish to car pool should be at school by 9:45.
GOD'S BLESSINGS!
