First Grade Weekly Note September 10, 2020 Christ Light- Today we discussed how Herod’s heart was locked in unbelief and wickedness. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for opening our hearts at baptism and thank you, Jesus, for living there now. Help us grow in faith as we study your Word each day! Oops- church attendance: I have forgotten to record church attendance the past 3 weeks. Please see the little slip in our child’s binder, complete it and send it back tomorrow. Thanks!!! Read-a-loud We enjoyed “Apple Trouble” and “A Kid’s Best Friend” at school. Reading Street- Thank you for covering the reading text on Tuesday night. The books will come home again next Tuesday if you need another opportunity to cover them. It has been fun to get to know your children as readers! Math Work: We took our first test today. I will send it home tomorrow with the spelling tests. :) We are doing some Apple Math activities, geoboards and coin counting, too. Science Our unit on plants will wrap up on Monday. Mrs. Olivia Halbur (Jeb’s mom) is going to bring some of her amazing and unique garden produce on Monday. September calendar I did send a September calendar home with your child today.
