Weekly Note

First Grade Weekly Note 

August 21, 2019

Welcome Back! Your children have jumped right into school. Each day they are more familiar with the schedule. We have enjoyed using a chant “Up the Ladder” to get to know each other better. We have also done a bit of work in every subject. Twice a day we work in small groups- IE reading groups and during math stations. Friday I we will begin art and Spanish. 

Christ Light- The red Christ Light binder should come home each Monday and Wednesday night for you to reread the story. I see some kids put it back in their desk just before they walked out the door today (Wed). Oops- I will try to get them all home for our new story Thursday (1B God Made Man and Woman). Please sign the homework chart to show that it was read. 

Math- We did our first math paper. Side B should be done at home and returned. 

Gym class- We played kickball on Tuesday and today did movement games with hula hoops on the soccer field.
