First Grade Weekly Note                  February 1, 2018

Christ Light  Today’s lesson   The Israelites Turn Away from God.  God did keep all his promises to bring the Israelites to Canaan and make the nation great.  The Israelites promised to obey and worship him alone.  That did not last.  May we boldly say with Joshua "As for me and my house we will serve the LORD."  Jesus, keep US in your Word daily, our life line from you and to you.  AMEN

Today we made adorable art projects with the verse from Joshua.  I will make them into magnets.  Hope they find a place to be displayed.   

The next SPELLING TEST is tomorrow Friday, Feb 2nd.

Class JUMP ROPE Performance We (only 1st grade) will perform at halftime of the A Girls’ game this Friday night, February 2.  Come by 6:00, and have your child put on his/her gym shoes.  I will gather the group in the mezzanine (gym balcony) so we are ready to jump!  New this week?  PARTNER JUMPING!

February Calendar is on the back!  

No School next week Thursday and Friday.  The teachers will be at a conference in Kiel.  Friday, I am going to present on teaching kids to jump rope.
