Math Stations: 1) Fraction work 2) Measure with centimeters and count coins. 3) Blokus (spatial reasoning game) 4) 2 digit addition practice 5) ipad time for Xtra Math and Kids A-Z.
Spanish: Friday I will introduce the “Pledge of Allegiance” in Spanish. These final weeks of school we will say it each day. Tomorrow we will also review the alphabet (new pronunciations) and classroom objects.
Tornado Drill today. We practiced this drill today, as did all the schools in the state.
Aesop parts: The first grade class will be busy ants and a few lazy grasshoppers in the play. I will assign parts soon. I will make 5 parts into 9 parts because I have many that want a part. I wish everyone could have a part, but it just won’t work. Thank you for returning the shirt order form (and $7).
Forensics Coach: I am the forensics coach for grades 5-8. The first grade class benefits because about 1 time each day I have a student come and “perform” their piece for us. It has been fun to have these big kids visit and share their stories. Our listening skills are getting better, too.
