Wednesday

Pastor Parsons was in our class this morning to lead our devotion.  He read the Creation story.  Each Wednesday morning an 8th grader will come and share an OT devotion as we begin our day.

Christ Light:  Please read story 2B (later portion of the folder) Simeon and Anna.  He rejoiced to see his Savior before he went to heaven.

MT:  1 John 4:10  This is love... (see homework chart).  It may be new and difficult.  Do your best.  We will say it in pairs.

Superkids:  We reviewed the vowels today in reading, spelling and writing.  We listened to songs with Alf and Oswald and read basic words.

Story Time:  The kids loved "Muncha, Muncha, Muncha."  We talked about eating healthy veggies and fruits today for Health and Fitness Week.

Math:  We made a Fruit "picto graph" for our new lesson.  Do 7B tonight.

Science:  We practiced the scientific method.  1) Ask a question. "Can you make a rainbow with three colors?  2) Hypothesis (guess).  "Yes, mix the colors," said Lachlan  3) Plan and test your hypothesis. We all agree!  You can make a rainbow with three colors.

Gym (large motor movement and hoop play) and Music today, too.

Olympic teams have been made.  Your child may wear a certain color on Friday to match his/her team.  I wrote that color on your child's homework chart.

Eli asked "Why do apples have stems?"  We took a field trip to my backyard to find out.  Other children also asked GREAT questions.  Why are apples different colors?  Why do apples taste different?  Why to worms like apples?

We were up close as we studied and discussed the apples!  We even tasted them later.

The kids got a peek at Pastor Weigand's vegetable and flower garden, too.

The 4 peaches on our tree even surprised me!
