Christ Light: Review of Moses. Ask to see our cute Moses project. God took good care of Moses according to His plan. He also "rescued" Moses. God takes good care of us by providing loved ones to care for us. He also "rescued" us from sin.
Reading: We practiced our memory words by playing a game. FUN partner work. We also read our poems and practiced much in spelling/writing.
Math: Lesson 47 tonight. Counting by 2s was the new lesson today.
S.St. We started a mini-unit on Thanksgiving. Today we learned about the Mayflower and the journey across the Atlantic Ocean.
Read vs Fantasy. We discussed the difference and named many examples. We compared a "Frog and Toad" book (fiction) with a book about real frogs. Then the first graders wrote about something they do for real and something they imagine they can do. I chose a few for this weeks Faith Alive newsletter.
