First Grade Weekly Note November 9, 2017
Living History Night I have the Timelines. Thank you for your work on them. What fun to share them with classmates. I will hang them up after school today so they are ready to be viewed tomorrow night. Hope to see you tomorrow night at 6:30 for a walk through the museum and a presentation about the history of FdL at 7:15.
Veteran Josh Wege spoke to the student body today. His story is amazing! Ask your child about him. Makenzi P also did her timeline on him so peek at it in the hall.
Veteran’s Day The class will be calling a couple WWII veterans and singing for them on speaker phone. Harold Buelow was a navigator. He lives in TN and is a special friend of mine through our church there. Russ Fontana is a member of Faith and lives in town.
Thanksgiving Caroling will be on Monday, November 20th at noon at The Woodlands (near Aurora clinic east of here). We will sing in full two dining halls for about 20 minutes each. We will sing various Bible songs we have learned this year and hand out a Bible picture that we created. When we return to school we will have a Thanksgiving celebration.
The permission slip is being sent home, too.
