Math Stations 1) ipad Kids A-Z and XtraMath. Congrats to Hannah M for completing the Addition!!! 2) Measure Tails. How long is a cheetah tail? Monkey? Cut a strip of paper that long and label it 3) Coin Exchange- WHAT FUN! Each child rolls a dice and get that number of cents from me, the banker. As they get more money they can exchange coins for bigger ones (two nickels for a dime…). The first kid to $.50 wins. We played this today (5 kids and me) for the first time. It was awesome! Try it at home. 4) Using a grid, coordinate points, and drawing symmetrical shapes.
ANTS (12 kids) will need a small bag with supplies (stuffed animal, granola bar in a package, small blanket, shirt) for a prop during the play. I told the 12 ants who they were. The other 11 are grasshoppers and won’t need this bag. They are not busy packing!!! :)
Cinco de Mayo We will be celebrating in our class with more stories with a Mexican flare, poems, Spanish vocabulary, art and a geography lesson about Mexico!
