Drumming assembly today! Ask your child about it. I also put a video on SeeSaw.
March Calendar is on the back. Notice- 1st grade will NOT sing on March 12. I did not mean to plan that for spring break. Oops. Sorry! We will sing Sunday, April 2th at the 10:30 service. (The kids will also sing the next week for Palm Sunday with the whole school).
Spelling Test tomorrow, Friday, March 3rd Unit 3
Pattern words (contractions): it’s, we’ll, you’ll, we’re, I’m
Memory Words (long vowel trickers): paper, lazy, even, open, pony, music, silent, tiny
Challenge (optional): knew, question, easy, heard, Dr. Seuss
Jump rope charms will be given tomorrow! I will continue working with those who have not quite mastered the skills and they can earn a charm later.
Math Stations: 1) ipads Kids A-Z 2) Sum of Ten fact families with dotters 3) Estimate and measure with Mrs. G/M 4) Play fact card Math War. We have been having a blast with these stations this week!
Field Trip Mrs. H has planned a trip for the first grade class to visit a band rehearsal at WLA. The students have been studying the band instruments in her music class. The trip is scheduled for the morning of Thursday, March 9th. The drivers I have so far are Brenner, Bright, Kramer, Rosenthal, Ruch, and Vogt. Thank you!!! We will leave at 8:20.
Dr Seuss Day and Read Across America We celebrated today with our 5th grade Book Buddies. We shared Dr.Seuss books, of course.
