Christ Light: We reviewed The Widow's Offering and recited our memory treasure.
Reading: Poetry and Book bags sent home tonight.
I read two of my favorite quilt books today. Ask about "The Quilt Maker's Gift." What did the king have to do to get a quilt? What gift did he give to the quiltmaker?
I also read "Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt." She made a map quilt that was used to help slaves escape to freedom. We also talked about the secret "Underground Railroad" and Harriet Tubman.
Math: Wow- your kids did a great job. Ask to see the quilt squares we drew and then colored in math class today.

Spelling: I also introduced our new spelling pattern words- contractions. We also read several sentences with the homophones your and you're and figured out which word is correct in each sentence.
