Tuesday!

Good evening,

We had another busy, great day in first grade.

Christ Light- I mentioned that it was just before Jesus ministry that John saw him and said "Look, the Lamb of God," our school theme.  Then Jesus did his first miracle, our story of the day.  We talked about how he meets our needs today!

Friendship Week: Mrs. Amy Bayer visited our class.  She is a member of Faith, parent of a kindergartner, and social worker at Agnesian.  She read a book to us that described our many emotions, then we made "stress balls" with balloons and playdough.  The kids can squeeze away when they are upset!

Superkids:  WH and TH sounds review.  We also spent a great deal of time practicing our memory words, the question words (when? who? what? which? where? why?)  The kids took a library book home to read.

Science: We continued our plant unit.  Today we did some fun pages in our book about plant parts and their jobs!

Math: Lesson 22B   Ordinal numbers (first-sixth).

Remember WLA cross country track meet is tomorrow (Wed) after school for grades K-8.
