OUR SCHOOL YEAR NOW IS OVER.
WE HAVE STUDIED READING AND MATH.
BUT THE BEST THING WE HAVE LEARNED HERE
IS TO FOLLOW JESUS' PATH.

NOW WE SAY GOOD-BYE TO OUR CLASSMATES
BUT OUR FRIENDSHIPS WILL NOT END.
WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER IN CHURCH EACH WEEK
AS WE WORSHIP OUR BEST FRIEND.

Those words were written by one of my friends and former classmate.  How true they are.  May the Lord bless you and your family with a wonderful summer.  Be sure to spend some quality time with Jesus.
Please remember that I am taking the first grade over to Culver's for a treat on Tuesday afternoon.  Thank you to those who have volunteered to drive.  We will leave school around 1:45 and plan to return by 2:45.  It would be good for your child to bring a car seat if possible.
Our closing service is Thursday evening at 6:30.  Grades K-7 will meet in the balcony for the service. We hope to have all of our students present.
WE WILL WORK HARD ON OUR CLASSWORK AT SCHOOL THIS WEEK. THERE IS NO HOMEWORK.

Sunday, May 11, 2014

What a fun week we had!  We hope you enjoyed Go, Go Jonah.  The children had worked hard on learning the play...God did the rest.  Thank you also for the kind words and gifts I received.  Our school is truly a blessing.
Next Tuesday I would like to treat the children to a Culvers' cone.  If there are any parents who could help transport students please let me know.  I plan on leaving our classroom at 1:45 and returning by 2:45. (I would love to treat you too!)
This is the last week for your child to earn his Timber Rattlers ticket.  We will have the children take their AR tests but we will not hand out any new books.  Thank you for helping your child to reach his/her goal!  Also, a big thanks to the ladies who faithfully helped the children to take their AR tests!
Our class trip to the zoo is scheduled for this Friday.  Your child needs to have a lunch and drink packed in disposable containers.  Be sure to dress him for the weather.  If you choose to send spending money be sure to put it in an envelope with your child's name on it.  We plan to leave by 8:30 and return by 3:00.
GOD BLESS YOU THIS WEEK!
