Happy Fall! Are you ready for the crisp autumn air and the beautiful colors of the leaves? This is the time of year that God shows his artistry as he paints our world.
Thank you for keeping up with reading the blog. If you checked over the weekend to see if we had memory work, I am finally posting what I told the students would be posted...NO HYMN VERSE FOR MONDAY. We had a wonderful presentation about Haiti after our Friday chapel service. Time did not stretch far enough to learn our hymn verse. We will study the same hymn this Friday.

We had a wonderful Grandparents' Day. So many grandparents came that along with the children we almost filled the church. It is our hope that all had a wonderful afternoon of fun and bonding. We hope to see many of those grandparents again next year.
On Wednesday our Unit 1 spelling list will be sent home. Spend time helping your child to learn to write the words correctly. We will spend the next few weeks working with the words in class also. The Unit 1 test will be given on Oct. 1.
Many children have been bringing water bottles to school. Since the weather is no longer so beastly hot and humid, these will be kept in the hallway unless there is a medical reason for your child to keep the water with him. We do use the drinking fountain after every recess.
Each family received a note about our fall Faith Science Fair. Any student who wishes to may enter a project. Our class will also be working on a fun display. I will keep you updated.
Marissa is our Superkid of the Week.

What a beautiful Labor Day weekend! I hope you had time to get out in the sun and relax.
Please be sure to mark the Worship Life (gold sheet) in your child's home folder each weekend. I will make use of what you have recorded on your child's report card. Also check to see that you have filled out the Student Information form that was found in the folder which you received on Parent Orientation Night. Be sure to return the form to school. Just a few are still missing. This week hot lunch begins. If your child is taking hot lunch he/she should have a ticket. ($27.50) Some parents still need to buy milk tickets also. ($5) Make sure that your child knows whether he brought a lunch from home or is taking hot lunch.
We had a hot day for our Fun and Fitness but that did not diminish the fun. It was heartwarming to see the team spirit and good sportsmanship of our students. God has blessed us with a wonderful group of students at Faith School.
Tyler H. is the Superkid this week. :0)
