We had a good first week of school.  There are 21 eager little learners in our classroom.  What fun it will be to learn new things together.  May Jesus bless our school year.
     Remember that our school pictures are taken this Wednesday.  Also, our Fun and Fitness afternoon will be this Friday.  You are invited to come for our afternoon of fun and cheer the children on.  The activities begin at 12:30 and go until 2:30.  After that we will return to our classrooms and excuse the children by 3:00.
     There are a number of children who still need milk tickets.  They are on sale every Monday and Thursday morning before school in the cafeteria.  Some families also need to return the Student Information Sheet from the first grade folder.

TUESDAY:
Reading - Help your child to practice reading pp.17,18 in his Superkids book.

HOMEWORK FOR AUGUST 20 - 23

TUESDAY:
No homework tonight.  Be sure to get to bed early.  Mrs. Lauber will too. :0)

WEDNESDAY:
Christ Light - Read "Creation" to your child from the lesson A book.  Review Genesis 1:1.  (We DO say the reference also...Genesis 1 verse 1.)
Math - Side B from lesson 2  Be sure to check the work over.  Make sure the page is done neatly in pencil unless otherwise noted.  Please be sure to put the paper back into your child's HOME folder to be returned to school.
Social Studies - Talk with your child about an activity which your family likes to do together.  We will be drawing simple family activity pictures in class.

THURSDAY:
Math - Lesson 3B homework  (Please be sure to check the page over in order to fix any mistakes.)
